Dear IGC Roofing,

I would like to commend Fred Reinwald, regarding my roof. USAA sent an adjuster, Ben St John, who from the beginning was very difficult to deal with. Mr. St. John clearly and on several occasions tried to undermine the processing of my claim. He spoke in an aggressive tone to me, was uncooperative with Fred, and made disparaging comments about Fred that were unsubstantiated. Mr. St. John went behind my back to Fred, failed to show up to his initial appointment with me and Fred on time (he came 1 hour earlier), and demonstrated bad faith and a negative predisposition, even before he had called Fred at my direction, to arrange the roof inspection. I felt it necessary, given that Mr. St. John failed to arrive at the appointed time, to force him off my roof. Mr. St. John told me he had called, knocked at my door, and rang the doorbell. There was never any record of his call on my cell phone, and I have never failed in four years at this residence to hear a knock on my door or my door bell.

     When the appointment for inspection was re-set, Mr. St. John showed up late, and brought a competing roofer, who St. John says is paid by USAA to "tag along" and answer any questions I might have. The owner of Final Touch roofing was the person who came - he gave me his card and apparently had a written contract waiting for me to sign, which is in my opinion over-the-top unprofessional conduct. I have had a very poor experience with this particular adjuster at USAA, Mr. St. John, and his bias against my claim was evident to me very clearly, prior to him meeting or talking with Fred. Fred has been uniformly cooperative and professional in all his conduct and actions, and has done an excellent job at defending my claim. He actually went to my wife's place of employment to have her OK the color of roof, and has been brilliant at negotiating a new roof from USAA. He is extremely hard working, and I would like to commend him for his great work on my behalf. As I write this, the finishing touches are being made to a gorgeous roof, and I am grateful to have him on our side.

Even though I found your estimate as the most expensive of the 3, I think that now I can say it was well worth it. After it was all said and done, I can sit back and say wow what a great crew worked on my roof and let’s not forget what a great salesman took care of my business, Fred. It was all well worth it. You see, a major decision in choosing your company over 3 others was Fred. He was aggressive, honest and he answered all my questions without any hesitation and to the point. One of the items I requested and made it VERY clear to him was the fact that I wanted nothing to do with phone calls, hustling, emailing, faxing or anything to do with my insurance company, Frontier Insurance. Fred promised he would handle all that for me and in the end, Fred did just that. He took care of the hustle, the arguing, emailing, faxing and phone calling to Frontier and he delivered what he promised, to get me the check needed to get this project completed! Let me add that he was also there when I needed him at any time of the night or day. In many cases, I would text Fred on a Sunday afternoon, or late Friday night and he would reply ASAP and say “on my way” and show up at my house an hour later to take care of business regarding papers, signatures etc. Who else would do that? No one! I think Fred is totally dedicated to his company and works 24/7 and you probably don’t even know it. So with that said, please extend my gratitude to Fred for his hard work and kept promises and my thanks to you also for your well organized crew and quality of materials. If I had a company like yours I would steal Fred from you. He is probably a rare employee worth keeping at any cost including satisfying his own terms to buy his stay and loyalty for Acumen.
